Privacy Policy - Warden of the Isles

Last updated: 25 June 2026  ·  Company: Beardlings LLC  ·  Contact: beardling@beardlings.com

This Privacy Policy explains how Beardlings LLC ("we", "us") collects and processes information in Warden of the Isles (the "Game") on PC VR (via Steam) and Meta Quest.

We do not require an account with us, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting. Single-player and offline play does not send any of your data to us. Any data the platforms you play on (such as Steam and Meta) may collect is covered by their own privacy policies.

When you play online, the Game and the third-party services that power online play collect and process limited data to connect you with other players and run the match, as described below. We use this data only to provide online play, and how long it is kept is governed by our providers' own privacy policies (see Sections 3, 4, and 6). You can ask us to delete any data we hold about you at any time (see Section 8).

1. Information shared during online play

When you play online, we collect and process the following information in real time so the shared world stays in sync:

Other players can see this information while you play, and we have no control over how they use it.

2. Voice chat

If you enable voice chat, your microphone audio is recorded and handled by the Photon network, which delivers it in real time to the other players in your room. Because voice is live and open-mic, other players can hear you while you speak. These recordings are not retained by us, and we do not transcribe your voice or use it to identify you. For how Photon records and handles voice, see Photon's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can mute or lower the volume of other players in-game, and you can turn microphone access on or off at any time in your device settings.

3. Technical data

Any online connection reveals your IP address. We and our networking and hosting providers use it to connect players, to confirm that your game is up to date, and to place your match on a nearby server. We and our providers may keep brief technical logs to run, secure, and debug online play. We do not use this information for advertising or profiling.

4. Service providers

Online play relies on our own match-coordination service and the third-party services listed below, each with its own privacy policy:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.

5. What we do not collect

We do not collect your real name, email, postal address, payment information (purchases are handled by the store), precise location, or biometric identifiers. We do not use eye, face, or full-body tracking, and we do not create voiceprints from your voice. We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information (as those terms are used under the CCPA/CPRA), and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

6. Data retention and international processing

We process multiplayer and voice data in real time to run online play. We and our providers may keep brief connection or security logs to run, secure, and debug online play, and how long our providers keep your data is governed by their own privacy policies. Because our providers operate internationally, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.

7. Children

The Game is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. You must also meet the age requirements of the platforms you use (such as Steam and Meta Quest). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact us at beardling@beardlings.com and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Data deletion and your privacy rights

You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time and free of charge. To make a request, email beardling@beardlings.com.

Because we collect and process only limited personal data during online play and keep no accounts, the data we hold about you is limited. When you make a request, we will delete what we hold and, where a service provider holds data on our behalf, we will forward your request to that provider or tell you how to contact them.

You can also ask us to access or correct your data, or to object to its processing, by emailing beardling@beardlings.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Game evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
